In this course, based on the collection of the materials workshop, a basic knowledge of a variety of materials from different areas of application is taught.
In the categories of minerals, metals, woods, plants & animals, textiles and plastics, we look at both traditional, everyday materials and current material developments. In addition to an overview of constructive and creative possibilities, special attention is paid to sustainable aspects and a creative approach is encouraged.
At the core of the course is the fascination for materials and the joy of using them in future designs.
The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 11, incomings are preferred.
The course in English will take place on 7 dates in the winter semester. Exact dates will be set in coordination with the other international courses.
